Mrs Frost and Mrs Simpson have been very excited to get The Hills School Choir relaunched and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the children after school on a Tuesday.

We have worked hard this term preparing for the Sing Up Digichoir, and the children did us proud when we recorded them singing for this event.

We are hoping for some new recruits in September from all KS2 year groups (3-6) as we prepare for Young Voices, when we will take the choir and parents to a concert in Birmingham of the biggest choir in the world, with special guest this year of Heather Small.

Please look out for some lovely performances on Facebook of some of our leavers this term who have performed a piece of their choice to showcase their achievements. 

I wish all our leavers all the best in their new schools and hope they continue to enjoy music.

We are very keen to get all the enthusiastic singers back to The Hill Academy Choir and Mrs Frost and Mrs Simpson look forward to inviting everyone to join. Choir will be open to year 3 - year 6, and we plan to meet on a Monday after school, 3.30 – 4.20.

If the situation allows, we will then also restart recorder club from after the October half-term. This is held at lunchtimes.

Mrs. Frost ran a woodwind assembly the first week back where the school were entertained by some very talented clarinet, saxophone and flute players from year 4 -6. This gave some of them the opportunity to rehearse pieces in preparation for the grade 1 and 2 exams that they will be sitting in June. All performers played beautifully. Well done to all of them.
