AuTuMN TERM IN THE GARDEN

Another school year has began in the school garden.  The children have had 2 sessions during this time September to December.

We have been working on Den Building, Bird Feeders, Bug Hotels, Making Spaghetti Towers, Decorations, Planting, Chalk Pavement Pictures and roasting marshmallows making Smores.

The children have had lots of fun playing in the garden, swinging on the swing, in the Tikki Kitchen, making forts out of natural wooden logs but most of all the Mud Patch.  The children love making mud pies, constructing pathways and gully’s in the mud and just digging making the mud area bigger.

The bulbs that we planted, crocuses and daffodils are now starting to appear, poking their heads through. The wall flowers have all taken root and will all look beautiful as they flower.

Thank you to the PTA for the donation to enable the pond area to be redeveloped.  The pond was cleaned and the waterfall mended.  But you may have noticed with the fall of leaves from the overhanging trees, the pond has been a little smelly!!  The waterfall and fountains look amazing and with lots of new bushes and plants surrounding the pond, we can't wait to see it all bloom in Spring.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  We look forward to seeing all the children in the garden 2023.
