JOAN MIRO

In Art, we have been learning about Joan Miro. a Spanish painter, ceramist and sculptor

Miro is best known for his abstract art and techniques which include realistic and unrealistic paintings. We have been evaluating his art pieces to say what we like and what we don’t like and then recreating our own piece of Miro inspired art.

Miro used lots of symbols and shapes in some of his paintings, using a range of primary and secondary colours. We recreated our own style of work whilst mixing primary colours to make secondary colours as well as making colours darker or lighter by adding black or white paint.

In our recent art lesson, we were able to choose what media we wanted to use to create our own inspired piece of work.
