RHINO'S, BEARS, LIONS AND PLASIC POLLUTION

On Wednesday we went to the zoo and what a beautiful day it was! We thought it might be cold and windy but it was lovely and warm!

First we started with the road safari and we saw lots of animals including buffalo, zebras, a rhino really close, elephants and giraffes. We were very excited when a monkey jumped on the coach and we had to stop so that the lady could encourage the monkey to jump off. We watched the bears eating their breakfast of fish and we were so lucky to see one of the wolves, hiding in the bushes.

Then we went and had a little look around the zoo before we had lunch because we were starving!!!! We saw some tortoises and massive snakes! Then it was the best part- LUNCH!

After lunch we went to the theatre to watch the show on plastic pollution, linking to the Global Goals. We learnt that we should refuse, reuse and recycle plastic. We learnt it takes millions of years for plastic to break down and how harmful it can be to the environment. We will be writing about this in English next week.

Finally it was time to fully explore the zoo. We were able to see penguins, monkeys, lemurs, sealions, meerkats, stroke the goats, but the red panda was snoozing and didn’t come out once. We had a fantastic time and we saw lots of amazing animals, you can see some of them HERE.
