A BUSY, SPORTY YEAR 1 WEEK
What a busy, sporty week we had!
This week we have been thinking about healthy hearts, bodies and minds!
On Monday we had Rob from Riverside Tennis come in and teach us some skills. We practised bouncing the tennis balls on our rackets before progressing to trying to keep a rally with a partner. Some of us found this tricky and kept hitting the ball too hard!
We continued our gymnastic lessons on Tuesday with Daniel and enjoyed learning all the different skills he taught us.
It was our intra-sports competition on Wednesday with Kelly Rolfe and The Hills Academy young leaders. We were focusing on multi skills. We took part in jumping, throwing and running activities. We had lots of fun and we even earnt certificated for participating and showing some values such as kindness and determination.
Thursday was our Key Stage One sports day. We have really enjoyed practicing for this in our PE lessons and lots of us found out that we really like the hurdles. Thank you for coming and supporting us!
