    OUTDOOR LEARNING WEEK!

      This week,  reception have enjoyed learning outside for three mornings. We were so proud of all the children as they were able to adapt their routine and enjoyed every moment, even when the weather wasn't that kind to us and we found ourselves out in the rain!

    This half term we have been reading non fiction text about animals that live in the woods. Last week was about hedgehogs! We learned lots of amazing facts about these cute little creatures. We even found out that they can swim!

    INTO THE WOODS!

    Welcome to the Spring Term our topic is ‘Into the Woods.’ We have had a fabulous introduction to the topic with a visit from the Birds of Prey centre.  The children had the opportunity to see some birds of Prey up close and the teachers had the opportunity to hold the owl!

    CHINESE NEW YEAR!

    Just before half term we learned all about Chinese New Year. Two children bought in red paper lanterns and dragons to show us. Angelo told us, "We hang them up in our houses for Chinese New Year!" We all had a go a making the lanterns and dragons.
