NURSERY IN THE GARDEN!

This half term we have been having lots of fun in the garden!

The children have been enjoying playing turn taking games such as duck duck goose, listening to stories, singing songs and playing imaginatively with their friends. They have also been exploring the garden looking for different signs of autumn. The children collected a variety of leaves and looked at the differences between each leaf, using magnifying glasses to explore the similarities and detail on all the leaves. We discussed the autumn colours we could see, how the leaves feel in our hands and whether they looked the same. The children thought that some felt smooth and others were crispy. They looked at brown, yellow and green leaves, which were different shapes and sizes. The Rainbows have enjoyed collecting leaves and commenting on what they noticed about the changes this season.
