FSP/FSM Outdoor Learning Day 3

Today was our third and final outdoor learning day. It was a very chilly one!

The children participated in a 'Gruffalo' orienteering hunt. They used their maps to find the cones which revealed a picture from The Gruffalo story along with a letter. They recorded this on their sheet which made a silly sentence.

"We got the answer... It said: A fox in socks!" -Evan.

The children spent time in the 'Dragonflies Garden' working together as a team to build shelters for themselves from large branches. It was very tricky, but the children worked hard and persevered.

Finally, the children gathered sticks and built 'log pile houses' like the snake's from 'The Gruffalo' story. Some children built stick houses for hedgehogs while others chose to build homes for other woodland animals.

Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered to help. We are very grateful.
