The Hills Lower School PTA

There is a lively and active P.T.A. at The Hills Lower School and all parents of children in the school are automatically members. The committee is elected by the parents at the Annual General Meeting in October.

The P.T.A. supports the school and raises money to provide extra resources for the children. A variety of fund raising events takes place each year and parents are kept informed of activities through regular newsletters.

The Hills Lower School Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A.) is a registered charity.

URGENT: We will be requiring small toys/gifts/McDonalds freebies, fun size sweets, toys, books and games.  Please leave any donations in a carrier bag marked PTA outside the school shop by Thursday 31st May 2012.  We would also like as many cakes as possible to sell.  Cakes will need to be brought to the staffroom on Friday 15th June 2012 please – a plate cake will be sent home in book bags after the half term. THURSDAY 14TH JUNE 2012 – MAD HAIR & PYJAMAS DAY! Donations to the Summer Fair should ideally be something suitable for either the adult or children’s tombola or raffle – alcohol is allowed.  Please remember that our prizes can only be as good as the donations we receive! THURSDAY 14th June and FRIDAY 15th June 2012– SUMMER FAIR WORK-IN DAYS To make this a great event we need as much help as you are able to give – it can be a lot of fun and you’ll get to meet other parents whilst helping to raise money for the school. Please either fill in the attached slip or just come along to one of the Work-ins held during school hours - even if it is for half an hour!  We will be in the Middle Annex (the Prime Time room). Dear All,   We'd like to say thank you to everyone who either helped out at the Christmas Fair (either on the day or before) or came along to support it.  It was a great success and an initial count up on the day indicates that we raised at least £1,950 for the school!  The exact amount raised will be confirmed in due course.   Thank you again for all of your support - it is much appreciated and we couldn't have done it without you.   Kind Regards,   Karen, Marcia, Michelle & Jenny.

This year we are trying to raise funds to improve the playground markings and equipment which will benefit every child in the school. Our Christmas Fayre is on Saturday 26th November 2011, we have all sorts of games, stalls and raffles and we need help with the prizes. We would be most grateful if you or any local companies you might know could help by donating something suitable that could be used to raise funds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
