Welcome to The Hills Academy

Welcome

The Hills Academy is a vibrant and diverse school with strong values as central to our happy and safe environment. We have been recognised as 'Outstanding', by Ofsted, since 1997 and we pride ourselves in combining high attainment with excellent extra-curricular opportunities for all our pupils. Dedicated and committed staff, governors, volunteers, parent groups and student forums continue to drive forward the success and growth of the school.

As an inclusive environment we are focused on meeting the individual needs of our whole school community. Learning is personalized for each pupil and our children have the independence to determine much of this; evaluating their own achievements and setting themselves challenging targets for the future.

As a globally minded 'International Award' school we have close links with pupils, teachers and learning around the world and hold the Green Flag for our environmental awareness. Learning in school takes place throughout the whole environment; including our wonderful outdoor learning spaces. Our children love to explore, experiment and get dirty!

We embrace technology and offer pupils and community members access to state of the art ICT facilities and training; key to our award winning Cineclub and Robotics workshops.

As a whole school community we see ourselves as life-long learners with our eyes firmly set on ensuring the school continues to evolve with the rigours and needs of the 21st Century. Celebration of all achievements is central to this and fosters mutual respect and high self-esteem.

From the excitement and exploration of the Early Years, to the challenges, responsibilities and investigations of Year 4, we aim to provide all our young people with the learning and life skills that allow them to reach their full social and academic potential.

The website offers you a snapshot of the school, but you are warmly welcome to visit us and see the school in action - please do call the office for an appointment.

We look forward to welcoming you.
