ancient egyptians!

This week, for our topic ‘Ancient Egyptians’ we have put our creative and artistic skills to the test!

To expand our knowledge of Ancient Egypt, we have been learning about Tutankhamen and his burial. We first explored how Howard Carter (an archeologist) fist discovered the boy king’s tomb.

We very much enjoyed learning about Tutankhamen so we decided to make our very own Tutankhamen’s death mask. First we cut our desired shape out of cardboard. Next, we used paper mache to cover our mask and make sure it was solid. Lastly we have painted and decorated our masks to make them look authentic.
