3D shapes, Jabberwocky and golf!

Written by
This week 4B has been creating 3D shapes from nets. We made cubes, tetrahedrons, dodecahedrons and pentagonal based pyramids. It took a lot of careful cutting and gluing but we were all very pleased with the shapes we made. It was great to see the sun on Friday, which meant we were able to go on to the field to practice our golf skills. This week we had a chipping competition; Mrs Browning gave stickers to those children who could chip their ball into one of the designated hoops. Some were very close and some bounced out! Mrs Browning gave away two stickers to Joseph Q and Taylor R – Well done! Our gardeners have been busy this week weeding and planting our vegetable patch. During literacy this week we have begun to look at the poem ‘Jabberwocky’ by Lewis Carroll. We all agreed it could be very confusing. We had fun acting it out and deciding what was going on. 4B star of the week this week is Ben W. Thank you to Tegan our class photographer this week.
